Each year The City, Inc. works with more than 2,700 youth and families who reside in the inner-city neighborhoods of Minneapolis. These neighborhoods are often plagued with poverty and violence. The sense of hopelessness permeates the streets and aspirations for a brighter future simply do not exist. The City, Inc. is dedicated to helping young people and their families receive the support they need so that they can begin to build a life that is filled with hope and aspirations. We give them opportunities so that they can gain the tools they need to be successful in all areas of their lives.
Mission: The City, Inc. is an agent of healing, growth and advocacy for inner-city young people and their families. Our goal is to build hope, opportunity and a sense of community in young people, families and communities it serves.
